Photo taken at "Across the Bay Tent and Breakfast" - Kasitsna Bay, a bit East of Seldovia, Alaska. This week Bonnie asked us to show an image with one of our favorite "go to" edits. Mine is rather simple. I duplicate the background, do an enhance/adjust lighting/levels to tweak the black/white (left and right adjustments; sometimes the middle range just a tad) a little bit to brighten the image -- that is about it! The image is shown below the main image with a texture from Bonnie, of course! With the texture, I pulled over "One Life," used the layer with "multiply at about 71%", reduced the size, added the stroke and the signature after doing a "stamp visible", and resized for web.

Oh my - I'm in love. I want to go and meditate on bliss right there! Love the light coming through the windows of that sweet structure by the water. Beautiful capture and edit Karen. So glad you shared it and your process with Photo Art Friday!
Beautiful capture to start with. I love the golden light on the water and sky.
I find getting it right SOOC, a little level adjustment (if needed) and some sharpening in PSE is the best way to start.
oh the etereal beauty of alaska! and how beautifully you have captured it. Interesting how a perfect photo needs so little "help"
Although this is in Alaska, it feels tropical to me - the little glass cabana and gorgeous colors - it transports me to a warmer clime, feet up, drink in hand, soaking up the beauty.....ahhhhhhh! Beautiful use of texture too.
I agree with Terrie above....when I first looked at the image I thought it was taken somewhere tropical...such lovely warm colors. Love your processing.
The composition of this shot is wonderful and I love the colours . . . .stunning. Teresa x
if the trees were palms, it would look like taken in the caribbean - fantastic colors!
Karen - you captured this at the perfect time! A beautiful photo.
Magical colors!!

Lovely, lovely images Karen.
Looking at the original, it is hard to imagine you could do anything to make it more beautiful...but you worked your magic! Lovely.

GORGEOUS! =)
Stunning! Just staring at the photo makes me feel peaceful; I can only imagine what seeing it in real life must have felt like!
What glorious beauty you've captured in your photo. Both versions are just lovely.
Those rich, warm colors are irresistible! Such a beautiful photo! The reflection of the colorful sky in the water is gorgeous.
What a lovely image!
That's a gorgeous sunset.
Stunning! Those colors truly take your breath away! I like the SOOC best I think... the one life texture mutes the colors a bit, but it is nice too.
This is a wonderful and romantic photo. A great inner silence. Beautiful !
Wish I was there, this is lovely.
A stunning photo Karen, and stunning rendering . . .
