I bet they would like a bit of sunshine too:-) That texture works well, but I would prefer 'shades of...July/August/May', at least in reality. Very grey and dreary over here at the moment.
What a wonderful capture....generally, I think of swans swimming in calmer, maybe even warmer, waters, but this image is fabulous. (I have a niece who lives on Kenai...my husband's sister and her husband just moved to Colorado from Kenai where they lived for several years.)
Cool photo :) and the texture is so subtle I can't really notice it which means it probably is doing some "behind the scenes" thing like warming it up or something. A perfect example of 2!
First thank you for commenting on my T Texture. The textures are fun...but still much to learn. Your comment led me to your blog...your photo of the swans is truly gorgeous...so unusual, the swans floating about in a "salad" bowl of wonderful reeds and leaves. Very unique and well done. I looked through many of your postings...you do so many things well. Your macro work is quite fascinating...love macro myself....you have chosen some intriguing subjects to photograph. I look forward to seeing more of your work.
Your weather might be about ready for a turn...you must surely be an expert at photographing the brilliant snow, sun, reflections, ray bursts, deep blue shadows...something most of us can only dream about. Enjoy...Sharon
Looks like we both chose swans Karen. I like them too and when I came upon a pair while on a walk on Sunday I knew they were a perfect subject for TT. Yours are a different species - are they trumpeters or tundra? They are a handsome couple and beautifully processed.

OOps! I cut off some of my comment, which said how fantastic this shot is!
This is such a lovely shot, and a great capture. I like the soft tones of the final image.
Stunning image - very natural. How do these swans live in such a cold climate??

Beautiful picture. I've not had any luck getting a good picture of swans. I like the plants, they add a unique texture and contrast to the swans.
A great pair, great processing.
