Driving from Kenai to Anchorage... Roads were "mostly OK" with some snowing. The first photo was taken with my iPhone4; the others with my Panasonic/Lumix at the Turnagain Pass Rest Stop - the Raven allowed me to get within three feet - obviously "the scavenger."

Oh I am dreading the snow this year!!! After last year and 2 storms behind us with days of lost power I can't imagine it will be enjoyable! Beautiful shots none the less esp the crow.

That last shot is amazing, Karen. I love crows -- we just never seem to get any here. With all the corn growing around us, it's rather ironic. :)
These is something so grand within this shot! The contrast conveys such a striking beauty.
Some beautiful snow images. I'm glad we don't see much of that here - though I love looking and photographing it, I definitely don't like to drive in it.
Karen your photos of the snow are so lovely! Living in Texas, I really miss the snow ( rare happening here) but think that after about a week of it, I would be glad to just look at your photos. Nothing more beautiful than new snow. Wonderful photo of the raven. Hope your thanksgiving was wonderful

Great shots. We've had only one snow so far, I'm looking forward to more for the photo opportunities, but not for the driving. The raven shot is wonderful.

We still don't have snow here in Finland but I'm just glad for it. Last two winters have been so bad and we have had snow so so much that it has been almost a problem where to put it.
