Walking Away From Ravens
Bonnie, Photo Art Friday, asked us to do something different this week, "try something we have never done before - something a little out of our individual comfort zone." I don't often superimpose two photographs, choosing to modify only one if given the choice. This week I am combining two of my original photographs and then using Bonnie's new "soft echoes" texture. I rarely use this particular color palette, also; however, it appeared to work well with the ravens and the birch trees retained some of their light and added texture to the scene (branches along the walk rail especially). I welcome "feedback, suggestions, tips" and sincerely thank you in advance.

Karen this is beautiful....
From two glorious photos you have created a gently surreal piece of photo art Karen. I really like how you married the two photos - wouldn't change a thing! Thank you so much for sharing your artwork with Photo Art Friday.
What an amazing transformation Karen, and a very, very beautiful one!
See I am mistaken - 3 images were married together. In my enthusiasm for your work, I concentrated only on two of the ingredients in your offering.
I think it could be the third (a texture?) that pulls it all together.
You bet, Bonnie, and what a beautiful texture it is, too. (Thank you for giving me yours to use.) It is what brought out the lovely gold/rust brown/green tones and without "dodging" - Smiles.
I am so impressed by the beauty of this creation - more than photography - it is Artography. Very well done.
I agree, this is a work of art, the layers all blend so well together, really well done :)
Karen, this is gorgeous, I like how everything works so well together. Funny thing is, this challenge was my first try to merge two original photos as well (well, now I know it's called superimpose). Mine turned out completely different, and I really like yours
First time here, and I have to tell you that I love Love LOVE the blue moose!!!
A very creative piece of art. The three layers have combined so beautifully.
This is really cool Karen. LOve the effect!
Oh! Such a wonderful feeling on your today work of art. Colors is so peace and little mysterious.
Regards!
Oh wow! This is a stunning piece.
Now this is something I'd like to learn. I played around a little trying to merge a couple of photo's but didn't quite succeed so I went a different route.
...great effects; fabulous photo
i love how these birches blend into the railway scenery... and i generally love trees and ravens very much! great effect! so far i didn´t merge two different photos together, but you are putting me into that direction...
This is a wonderful collage. Beautiful photo and texture work.
Have a nice weekend, Karen.
I really like how the superimposed images produce a really different image and I think the colourscheme is great
You put these together beautifully.
A great edit Karen! I feel like I'm with the Ravens, watching from the branches.
I want to try this...you have created a great piece of art.
I love your photo art!
Very nice picture, beautiful colors.
Wonderful composite, Karen. They seem so natural together.
Yes, this is my second class with Marie -- it is a different class than the first one. I did not take her second class.
