Three Ravens

My contribution this week to Bonnie's PDPA Challenge: to take three photos and integrate them with one of her texture pieces into an "abstract." This took a while and definitely was a challenge - so many options and choices - and, wouldn't mind trying with different color variations. Regardless, always have fun. Includes reflection at Tern Lake, Arizona cacti, and Kenai ravens.

The cactus choice is brilliant.
Can we see that by itself maybe?

Very clever and subtle editing, bravo

I didn't pick out the cactus as cactus until looking at your layers palette - and we've seen those birds before haven't we? It's such a great image, I can see why you return to it. I always enjoy this challenge and love what you contribute. Thanks for the visit....

Hope your temps have risen above those -22 you showed a week or two ago! I'd hate THAT much cold!

Terrie - you are right - once before and that one was horizontally switched to blend properly with the content. It is here: Nov 2011. http://alaskabluemoose.blogspot.com/2011/11/walking-away-from-ravens.html. It is a great image. Thank you.
Hanna - I checked on the url in my Flickr box in the right side bar and went to your site and posted it since I don't have a way to Email you...

Your result looks stunning, Karen. I really like it. The colors are great and I like how the prickly pear shows through. I still didn't get the hang of creating an abstract, but at least I tried. One day...

Fabulous! Love the different elements your piece has. The trees and ravens make for perfect subject material and the addition of the Cacti made the background really interesting. I like this a lot.

Karen, I always enjoy the fruits of your labours! Ravens are among my favourite birds, but the combined effects are wonderful. It's all about the playing, isn't it?
Time is my biggest constraint! =)
Have a great weekend...
